My Oscar Predictions

I love the Oscars. I've watched the Oscars consistently for longer than I've watched the Super Bowl. And that's been a while.

So, without further ado, here are my predictions (which will most likely be wrong) of where the little fella will be heading in the 2013 Oscars.

Best Picture:

Best Actor (lead):
Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln

Best Acto (supporting):
Robert De Niro for Silver Linings Playbook

Best Actress (lead):
Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook

Best Actress (Supporting):
Anne Hathaway for Les Miserables

Best Animated Feature Film:
Tim Burton...I mean, Frankenweenie

Best Cinematography:
Life of Pi

Best Costume Design:

Anna Karenina

Best Directing:

Ben Affleck. Oh, wait, he's not in this...

Steven Spielberg for Lincoln.

Best Documentary Feature:

Searching for Sugar Man

Best Documentary Short:

Open Heart

Best Film Editing:

Best Foreign Language Film:

Amour (I mean, really, it's nominated for best picture. No brainer)

Best Makeup and Hairstyling:

The Hobbit

Best Music:

Life of Pi, though I loved Argo's music. But Life of Pi was something in a class of its own.

Best Song:

Skyfall by Adele

BestProduction Design:

Anna Karenina

Best Animated Short:

Paperman (without a doubt. I will break my TV if this doesn't win)

Best Live Action Short:

Best Sound Editing:

Django Unchained

Best Sound Mixing:

Les Miserables

Best Visual Effects:

Life of Pi

Best Writing (Original):

Django Unchained

Best Writing (Adapted):

And there it is. Feel free to tell me how wrong I am, or to gloat on Monday!
